Product Description
STEINEL HF 3360 is a high-frequency motion-detector series for indoor lighting control. It suits corridors, stairwells, ancillary rooms and washrooms. Round and square housings provide a choice of appearance.
Radar detection
5.8 GHz HF technology detects movement independently of ambient temperature and can also respond through glass, timber and lightweight partitions. 360° coverage reaches up to Ø8 m radially and tangentially. Electronically adjustable reach helps adapt detection to the room and reduce unwanted switching caused by movement in adjoining spaces.
Mounting is a separate choice
The series includes surface-mounted and concealed-wiring housings for wall or ceiling installation. Surface versions are rated IP54; concealed versions are rated IP20. Housing shape alone does not specify the mounting type, protection rating or electrical interface. Installation height is 2–4 m, with 2.8 m as the optimum reference height. HF 3360 is intended for indoor use even when a particular housing is rated IP54.
Control and connection
Select the electrical version for the lighting system. COM1 switches a load directly through a relay; DALI and KNX versions work with the corresponding control system, while PF versions provide a potential-free contact. A round or square housing does not establish compatibility with a particular interface.
COM1 reference models use a 220–240 V supply, a 5 s–15 min timer and a 2–1000 lx twilight threshold. These specifications are not universal across the series. KNX versions are powered by the KNX bus; DALI input devices are powered by the DALI bus. Direct-load and LED wattage limits apply only to the exact matching relay version.
